Note: Selecting AD Photographer

Things to take note when selecting your actual day wedding photographer:

1. You must be comfortable with the photographer.

2. Confident that he/she is able to feel along with you during your actual wedding day, as your actual day is filled with joy and emotions. You want a photographer who is able to feel it to. With that, your pictures will come alive!

3. Professional photographers will always request for your AD program. Photographers should ask for programs so that they won't be lost on the day itself.

4. Look through his/her portfolio to see if it's the style you are looking for.

5. Professional photographers shouldn't force you to sign up for their service if you are not comfortable with them and their style. They will always understand and not bad mouth you behind your backs. Most of them will always give you time to decide as they will go by the hour usually.

6. Understand the amount of time the photographer puts into for your photos. This will be the result of the quality of your photos and their service to you.

7. There must always be black&white for you to read through and sign upon confirmation. Most professionals will ensure you have read through them before signing.

8. Always ask them about the payment terms and the deposit. Different photographers has different terms. Some may require 30% and some 50%.

9. Always ask about the extension of hours. Some photographers are flexible with it, some count strictly by the hour.

10. Many ask, is it true for photography? what you pay is what you get? If your photographer is a full time photographer and a professional- the answer is YES! You are paying for their time, quality photos and the most important above all is quality service before, during and after your wedding.

Well, I hope there are good and positive response, heh.... if it's negative, then I have to be humble and change to serve better and to be more sincere.

Haha, the best part is- I have not started listing with them. But well, it is also good, so that I will really know what others feel about my service and how sincere they feel that I am *fingers cross*... heh.... and I can never defend myself... hahaha.... that's fine :)

Wedding Season 2008 Fair

Just finished the exhibition booth last night. Pretty tired standing and talking non-stop.

Didn't manage to get the amount of sign ups I wanted, but at least it was enough to cover my cost. But most importantly, I think i did manage to help many couples understand the market of AD wedding photography.

Some couples think I'm bluffing them, haha. Oh well, I'm just happy that I manage to share my heart out sincerely with every couple that I've talked to, even those who didn't want to hear... :(

It's still good, at least I've achieved my goal of explaining to couples the important of engaging an AD wedding photographer who is able to feel together with them during their most important time of their lives.

And YES!! What you pay is what you get in this market. Good quality of photos, quality service and a honest and sincere photographer!! haha... it's true, I'm speaking on behalf of other photographers too, like Plush, 39East, Lighted Pixels, Greymatter, etc.... I do not know them personally, only Plush, but I know and heard that they have very good service! SERIOUS!

Alright, I hope couple out there do do their research on photographers before engaging them.
